“If you will it, it is no dream.” Laynie Tzena first heard Theodor Herzl’s famous words
as a teenager, and she has never forgotten them. Today, Ideas Made Real puts that passage to work, offering creative people in the arts, sciences, and business the coaching, marketing, and promotional services they need to succeed. “We help people do the work that’s most vital to them,” says Tzena, “and then help other people find out about it.”
“The goal of Ideas Made Real is to help people use their creativity to profit,” she continues. “We are all born creative, yet it’s easy to take that gift for granted. Artists
can ‘ghetto-ize’ their creativity, reserving it only for the painting or music or writing, rather than using it in how they structure their lives. People in fields outside the arts can make the mistake of thinking that creativity is for somebody else, or some other time—some unspecified ‘later.’” Tzena finds this approach puzzling, given that “creativity is the stuff that makes everything else work. We help people find new approaches to the challenges they face, and create structures within which they can flourish.”
